CI is a known and proven entity in the state. Formed in 1989 as a quasi-public authority, CI has been impacting the state’s technology business climate for nearly two decades. Since 1995, CI has invested over $146 million in Connecticut technology companies and in programs and initiatives aimed at nurturing Connecticut’s technology economy. Our funding has supported research, development, commercialization and marketing efforts in 83 emerging companies, leveraged over $1 billion of additional investment into Connecticut from over 60 private investors and generated more than $510 million in additional income (GSP) in Connecticut.
