General Information
Hartford Hospital is a large tertiary care hospital with a continued interest in clinical research. The commitment by our healthcare professionals and our large patient population allow for identification and enrollment of interested patients in research studies. The Clinical Research Center (CRC) at Hartford Hospital was established to support industry-sponsored and investigator-initiated clinical trials. An experienced research coordinator staff provides administrative assistance and coordination of pharmaceutical and investigational device studies. The CRC interacts daily with the grants and contract administrators and IRB staff to facilitate timely study submissions and approvals. A Phase I-IV Study Unit is operated by the CRC and is available to investigators conducting overnight healthy or patient volunteer studies. The Study Unit is a 24-bedroom facility and includes a specimen processing laboratory, clinical assessment area and a common area for study participants.
