Thetis Pharmaceuticals LLC

Panel discussion followed by networking, refreshments & wine bar

Thetis is a drug development company that is advancing TP101, a novel, first-line therapy for type 2 diabetes. TP101 is a new molecular entity that chemically combines metformin, the standard of care in type 2 diabetes, with the principal component from omega-3 polyunsaturated fatty acids. TP101 uniquely targets both glycemic and lipid control in diabetes patients and has the potential as a 2nd generation metformin with an improved therapeutic profile and better efficacy, as well as strong intellectual property protection. The company expects to begin clinical studies with TP101 in 2012, an exceptionally rapid timeline made possible by certain regulatory efficiencies associated with the known safety and efficacy records of its active pharmacologic agents.
