Venture capital investments
in Kolltan Pharmaceuticals, Inc. and BioRelix, Inc., both of
New Haven, totaled $8.6 million in the third quarter of
2009, according to The
MoneyTree® Report, issued quarterly by PricewaterhouseCoopers
and the National Venture Capital Association, based on data
from Thomson Reuters.
The $8.6 million invested in
life sciences companies (biotechnology and
medical devices) represented 34% of the total of $21.3 million
of venture capital invested in the state during the quarter.
