| A
capacity crowd showed up December 3 for the CURE
Holiday Party in Café George at 300 George Street,
New Haven.
Greeting the
guests, CURE Co-Chair Peter Farina said that in the
current economic climate, it is especially important
for the bioscience community to take advantage of
events on the CURE calendar, because of the
fellowship and networking opportunities they
provide.
Echoing Farina's
comments was CURE Co-Chair David Keiser.
Paul Pescatello,
president and CEO of CURE, thanked the sponsors who
made the evening possible.
WinStanley
Enterprises, as lead sponsor, underwrote the
extensive buffet provided by Café George and
arranged for convenient parking at 300 George, which
is one of the WinStanley properties in New Haven.
CURE member Ricerca
sponsored the DNA Game, which called for guests to
seek each other out in order to match up the genetic
codes on their respective name tags.
Guests who found a
match had their names entered in a drawing for
Amazon gift certificates. This year's winners were
Yanming Du and Jim Dalton of Rib-X.
Other sponsors
included PricewaterhouseCoopers, Wiggin and Dana,
Makovsky and Company Public Relations, Cantor
Colburn LLP, and Elm Street Ventures.
Wine was provided
by The Wine Thief and catering by Paula at Café
George.
Pescatello thanked
his staff and HarveyMalis Communications for
organizing the event.
