Law Clinic Adds Biotech Expert
Geoffrey G. Dellenbaugh, a patent and licensing attorney experienced in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology fields, has joined the UConn Intellectual Property and Entrepreneurship Law Clinic.
The Clinic provides free intellectual property services to small businesses in Connecticut. The purpose of the clinic is two-fold: to assist Connecticut small businesses with their intellectual property issues and to give students some practical hands-on experience.
Services provided by the Clinic include trademark searching and registration, patent searching, preparation and filing of patent applications, and copyright registration. The Clinic also provides related services, such as agreements relating to confidentiality, consulting, invention ownership and assignment, and licenses.
The Clinic was established by the Connecticut legislature to strengthen Connecticut's economy with innovative new programs aimed at supporting emerging companies.

Geoffrey G. Dellenbaugh,
PhD, JD, is Assistant Clinical Professor and Supervising
Patent Attorney at the Intellectual Property and
Entrepreneurship Law Clinic, University of Connecticut
School of Law. He received a BA in chemistry from Princeton
University and his law degree from the University of
Chicago. Prior to law school he also received an MA in
teaching from Stanford University and a PhD in chemistry
from the University of Pittsburgh. Following law school, he
practiced patent and licensing law with Johnson &
Johnson and Warner Lambert Company, where he was
Intellectual Property Counsel. |
