New Mobile
Lab On Schedule For 2010 Debut
Thanks to the
generosity of Boehringer Ingelheim, Bioscience Explorations
will launch its new science outreach program for elementary
schools, Boehringer Ingelheim Science Quest. The multifaceted program includes a mobile science laboratory, an equipment loan
program, and relevant hands-on science curricula.
The program
is intended to bring an exceptional science education experience
above and beyond the normal elementary classroom curriculum,
focusing on Connecticut’s neediest school districts. Upon completion of the program, participating students will
have been actively engaged in hands-on science exploration for
over six weeks.
On
schedule for arrival in Connecticut early next year is a new
mobile laboratory that will focus on three areas
environmental stewardship, alternative energies, and life
systems that support the State of Connecticut’s Core
Science Framework. more
